Meet Leigh Pozas

Fitness Instructor & Wellness Coach

Leigh Pozas, FDN-P, PN, AANC, AADP, Board Certified Wellness coach is also the owner/operator of FitZone Bakersfield (Formerly known as Total Woman Fitness) and Pound of Prevention Wellness.  She has been an active instructor, trainer, and nutritional coach for 30 years.  Certified in fitness, coaching and lifestyle by ACE, AFAA, and ACSM and many others she has made fitness her life’s work.

Realizing that fitness is only part of a healthy lifestyle and the importance that nutrition plays, she became a Certified Nutrition Consultant in 2007 with American Association of Nutrition Consultants (AANC) and has gone on to include Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN), Precision Nutrition (PN), and Food Matters Nutrition Coach in her Practice.  She is a frequent public speaker about anything from health and fitness, whole foods nutrition, stress management to business topics.  After serving on the Board and speaking at the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference for 9 years, in 2015 she chaired the event and was the opening speaker.

Taking fitness and nutrition to the next level as a FDN Practitioner has been the culmination of a career in fitness and health.  She is able to perform diagnostic labs in order to uncover clues to the dysfunctions of the body and use those clues as a true Health Detective to unlock the mystery to what is preventing optimum health.  Health is more than fitness, and nutrition is more than diet.  Leigh works with clients from the “roots” up and treats the body as a whole, not just a sum of its parts.

She is very active in the community and is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for JJ’s Legacy and The Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference.
